We are seeking an experienced and proactive Industrial Sales Representative to help drive our sales and expand our customer base within the Industrial Lubricant sector.
You will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, particularly focusing on selling our higher-value Mobil lubricant products within the West Midlands, Bristol, Swindon, Somerset, Devon and Shropshire areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a long-standing family business which has been an Exxon Mobil Distributor for 30 years.
Additional product training will be provided but we require an existing field sales background.
Key Responsibilities
* Pipeline Management: Manage and track new business opportunities using Pipedrive CRM and ensuring a healthy sales pipeline from prospecting to closure.
* Account Development: Work with the Distributor Lubricant Engineer (DLE) and/or ExxonMobil Field Engineer to create plans for winning new accounts.
*Customer Engagement: Maximise in-person interactions with customers to build strong, long-term relationships.
*Team Collaboration: Work closely with departments to promote and expand our premium lubricant products in the market. Liaise with Exxon Mobil Industrial Sector specialists.
*Commercial & Technical Support: Provide commercial and technical support to customers, offering solutions and product selection.
*Trade Shows & Events: Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to generate new business and boost brand visibility.
*Social Media Presence: Actively build and maintain a strong LinkedIn profile to promote the company and engage with potential clients.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in industrial field sales, with a good understanding of industrial market sectors.
* Experience with a CRM software.
* Knowledge of lubricant products and their applications is preferred.
* A good understanding of marketing and social media.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and within timeframes.
* 2 job references will be required.
Qualification and Skills Required
* Experience: At least 5 years of sales experience in a related field, preferably within a similar industry or product range.
* Technical Skills: Able to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. CRM experience is beneficial, but training will be provided if necessary.
* Education: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C). A-levels or a degree is advantageous.
* Training: Sales related training courses completed and/or field-based sales experience.
* Driving License: A valid UK driving license is required as you will cover territory across several counties.
* Communication: Confident in delivering presentations and conducting meetings, both in person and via Zoom.
* Fluent English Speaker
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
Additional pay: Bonus scheme
Work Location: Head office is in Caerphilly CF83 8DU but role is hybrid mix of head office, home and field-based working due to the nature of the role.
